How You Can Win a Flip Video Camera

It’s simple! And it costs you nothing except a little of your time to enter.

All you have to do is post a VIDEO TESTIMONIAL (on Youtube) saying how you have used my products and how it has helped you.

The only rule is you must state the name of the report, information, book, program, audio, video, whatever, in the testimonial and refer to where you found it – and the website name you need to type in the description box is:

http://www.TerriLevineRecommends.com

This is where I now keep all my products and this is where you will find any products you’ve purchased in the past that may have been on a different site back then.

Then send the testimonial video URL to me at t@coachinstitute.com so I can go check it out.

If it is good, you will win a Flip Video Camera.

How easy is that!

Success is an Attitude

Notice how some people give up when push comes to shove… when the going gets tough… when life dares to push them around a little? They sit down and stop. Or they run the other way. They grizzle, complain and blame. Notice also how those people are always avoiding and never going anywhere or achieving anything?

Then there are those who tackle life’s challenges head on, who don’t run and hide, who refuse to sit down and quit… one way or another they are determined to taste success.

It’s not about opportunity – they can both have the same opportunities and challenges – that’s not what creates success… it’s attitude.

The right attitude is behind all successful people. When the going gets tough, the right attitude is what keeps them up on their feet, looking for new open doors, new opportunities, new paths around their obstacles, new ways to reach success.

Successful people look at a grey cloud and know there is a silver lining and are determined to find it and don’t stop until they do. Unsuccessful people see the grey cloud and figure it’s probably going to rain so may as well stay home and do nothing.

So if you aren’t tasting success yet, how’s your attitude?

What Changes to Management Can Improve the Bottom Line?

When change is introduced into the workplace, there is often a degree of resistance, anxiety and sometimes even ridicule of the new methodologies. People equate change with difficulty and something to be feared. This is where open communication is so important and it starts right at the very top.

If you don’t have the full support and understanding of key management positions, any organizational changes being made are going to be thwart with difficulties. It is up to CEOs and Presidents to champion the cause and ensure their managerial teams are also in full support, so that it can filter down through the ranks more smoothly.

It is not enough to merely hand a list of problems and preferred outcomes or objectives to a managerial team and expect them to go ahead and get to work on it. They, too, need guidelines and guidance, reassurance, and training. Many Managers get to where they are through natural progression up the corporate ladder, climbing their way on their years of experience. But this doesn’t mean they know how to manage. The Manager of the Sales Department may be an excellent Sales Person himself and know how to train his staff in successful sales techniques and strategies, but as a manager of people and an organizational change expert, he may well be out of his depth. The same can be said for many managers in many different departments.

All the brilliant change plans in the world will fail if those who are responsible for the action have no idea what they are doing and possibly, don’t believe in what they are doing. So the first step is ensuring the managerial teams understand what changes are being made and why, and what outcomes are being sought and why. They then need training in the best methodologies for introducing the new systems to their own departments. This requires a whole set of skills many managers lack, simply because it has not been something they have been taught before. This includes people skills, communication skills, and negotiating skills. Read the rest of this entry »

Be Upstanding to be Outstanding

It would be reassuring if we could always assume every person we dealt with in business was an upstanding citizen who could be trusted to be open, fair and honest. How successful might we all become if we strived to be the best we could be in our own businesses and everyone else was striving likewise in their own endeavors. There would be no more scams, rip-offs, cheating or deceit.

You may have heard of the expression “be the change you want to see occur in the world”. Yes, it can be a challenge in a world where a percentage of people do not understand the concepts of being considerate, honest or helpful, being in it only for themselves. One of the problems is that some people simply do not see themselves as others see them. They are not aware of their own shortcomings because in their minds, they don’t have any shortcomings.

How do you know if you fall into this category? No offence, but none of us can progress if we are not aware of our shortcomings, because without this knowledge, there is nothing to work with. So let’s quiz Joe Bloggs and if you find yourself identifying with the responses, you may have a little work to do on your self-development… : Read the rest of this entry »

LIFE AS AN ENTREPRENEUR

Most entrepreneurs we coach tell us that they want to simplify their lives.  They are consumed with details, many of which don’t seem that critical, yet still have to get done.  They also say that they feel their lives are out of balance.  They live separate business and personal lives and often feel guilt over not being with their families and friends more frequently.

Here are some tips that entrepreneurs we coach have shared as part of their success in building more success at less cost: Read the rest of this entry »

You Could Be a Coach If…

  • You ever find yourself overcome with a mysterious urge to pick people up, dust them off, and set them off on the yellow brick road to success… even if you’ve never met them, and they might think you’re crazy.
  • This “crazy person” inside of you keeps wanting to escape, and give advice to people – advice which turns out to be extremely helpful… or do you think you’ve just been very lucky so far?
  • Your view of the world is colored by a warm and cheerful, rosy hue, even though people around you are describing a dull, gray color.  (Perhaps it’s not you who is color blind!)
  • You look at a situation and see golden opportunities that will benefit everyone – others just see a garbage dump and wonder if you’re for real!
  • You believe life can be easy, uncomplicated and fun.  You know others don’t believe that and you want to change that.
  • You really enjoy the company of people – you see them as unique individuals, yet part of a connected whole.
  • You can accept other people without judgment.  When everyone else talks about how rude and lazy Joe Bloggs (the salesman) is, you see his potential in another department and comment on how clever he is at making the most of his relaxation moments while the rest of the world grows stress ulcers!
  • You occasionally ask yourself, “What am I?  Some kind of Dear Abby?”   because friends, family and co-workers come to you for advice, words of wisdom, to cry on your shoulder, or simply to confide.  You house more secrets than the World Wide Web holds websites!
  • It’s not that you’re nosy, but you really do find people fascinating!  You even enjoy talking to strangers.  Is it your fault people feel at ease around you!? Is it your fault people want to tell you everything? You can’t help being charming, right?
  • You may have a background in teaching or training.  You admire public speakers who motivate others to greatness!  Teaching… training… mentoring… these are things which resonate with you!  It’s a shame, you think, that you ended up a …(fill in the gap)… because really, you’d have made a great teacher/trainer/mentor!
  • People tell you that you are a great listener.  Not only that, you can read between the lines and “hear” more than just the words!
  • You consider yourself innovative and entrepreneurial, and you enjoy sharing your knowledge with others and helping them.  It’s fun finding new ways of doing things, right? And you need an outlet for your creativity!

In short, you are a great people person… the idea of a career in which you can use your talents to benefit individuals and companies worldwide is appealing, but get real, you say, what kind of job is that?

Add to these talents a desire to be your own Boss, work your own hours, choose your own clients, your own niche, etc., and what we have here is a professional Coach.

It’s a way of being that allows you to work your own hours, while you help people attain their goals. It’s challenging, fun, profitable, and rewarding.

Is Education needed to be an Entrepreneur?

Is there really an education needed to be an entrepreneur? This is a question often asked by aspiring entrepreneurs.

Well, it all depends on the individual. There are times even when those that have no educational business background are still able to make it big in the business world. Some say that they owe it all to patience, hard work, and dedication. Most of the successful entrepreneurs on the other hand claim that it would take good education to become an entrepreneur.

So what will it be? Well, if you can afford to study a business degree, then don’t let that chance pass you by. You’re quite lucky if you can attend college especially for a business degree. You have to dedicate your time studying all your lessons because in due time, you will be able to use such information to the advantage of your business.

You can choose to study in a local university or college or those individuals with more money to spend can study abroad if they want to. The important thing is to take your education seriously because you can use them when the right time comes. And while you’re studying, you have to develop all the needed skills and characteristics of being an entrepreneur.

You have to participate actively in all school activities especially those that require you to exercise your skills in business planning, controlling, directing, etc.

There are many business degrees that you can choose from like commerce, business administration, economics, and many others. Make sure that you choose a course that you like and one that you can afford so that you can finish your way to college. Remember, passing alone is not important. You have to learn every step of the way and don’t forget the things that you’ve learned.

Some entrepreneurs didn’t have the proper educational background and yet they’ve become successful in their chosen field. The fact is, there are many successful entrepreneurs without the proper business education. How many times have you heard of an entrepreneur who started from scratch and yet ended up having a high-profit earning business? Perhaps there’s more to just education.

You see, aside from education, you have to possess the right qualities and characteristics of being an entrepreneur like leadership, innovativeness, creativeness, risk taker, and many others. Even if you have the proper educational background, you can’t become a successful entrepreneur if you don’t have these qualities and characteristics.

It seems that education and the right characteristics go hand in hand in producing an effective and successful entrepreneur. If you can have them both, take advantage of it right away. Education is something that money can’t buy in an instant and besides, you can use your knowledge for the best interests of your business.

This is not to discourage those that can’t afford to earn a business degree in college. If you want, you can use the resources available on the internet and learn everything you can about being an entrepreneur. You must also develop the right attitude and characteristics as early as possible. If you can pull it off, then no one can stop you from entering the business world.

Is there an education needed to be an entrepreneur? This question can only be answered by you. If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, try to assess your qualities, skills, and educational background. After that, you can already determine if you’re fit to become an entrepreneur.
