I started in sales with no training and wasn't making a living. Then I attended all the traditional top training and the “big names” seminars and programs and I read every book, bought every program and listened to every tape and my sales increased... I didn't really like the sales process I learned though. It felt manipulative, deceptive, scripted, un-natural and all about closing a sale, overcoming an objection, answering a question with a question and like a game. I found I could sell this way and I did sell this way. It took effort and felt like a drain and didn't create much client good will or referrals. I kept thinking there must be a better, easier, more natural way. Then, one day, I decided that since I hadn't found that way, I would create MY way. I based this new sales technology on my belief that people hate to be sold (I know I do!) yet people love to buy. I decided that I would create a process, a sales technology that was totally new, fresh and different. What I created for myself took me to number one in national sales for Collectors Corner instantly! Folks began to ask me how was it that I was selling two to three times as much as they were and not doing any cold calling and basing my business on referrals so that sales came to me. One day I did training for the sales people on my formula. People were excited by this formula and loved that it didn't rely on manipulation, learning a trick or memorizing a close. One of my friends in sales asked me if I could teach her the system. I did. In less than 30 days, she went from selling about $2,000 a month to $10,000. It was unbelievable!
