Parent Coaching Course for Certification as a Comprehensive Parent Coach
Dear Coach, Have you found your coaching niche yet? Would you like to expand your current coaching business? It probably won’t come as a surprise to you that the niche of parent coaching is a growing area. This is becoming a HOT topic! Parents are looking past the parenting books and self-help programs. They are searching for a certified parent coach to help them with their parenting skills, someone to show them the way, step-by-step. Why Parent Coaching? Why is parenting such a big concern in our society? What’s wrong with parents today? What's wrong with our kids today? (You might hear this a lot.) It is almost unrealistic how many children are struggling in school, in social relations and finding themselves using drugs, having sexual relations at very young ages, and suffering from poor self-esteem. Our children seem to be in a total mess. Teenagers are getting pregnant earlier and earlier. High schoolers are overdosing from drugs like heroin. Teenagers using drugs has become an even more serious problem because of the drugs that they are using. It is not just marijuana any more. This is only one of the problem areas... eating disorders and suicides are on the rise. The statistics are shocking and no one knows what to do -- including the parents. Many people blame these problems on the child's “dysfunctional family”. However, I'm not sure these families were taught how to function in the first place. Family dynamics have changed. We cannot look to our own parents, or even their parents for role models. Today it is common for both parents to work and one-parent families are the "norm" rather than the exception. Everything has changed!. Families spend less time together. Children are growing up much faster because they have to. Times have changed since we were children and we cannot use our parents or grandparents as role models. What worked twenty years ago does not work today. Both parents and children face vastly different issues and challenges today. People have children without planning step-by-step how to raise them. They aren't given a guidebook or an instruction manual. Schools do not teach "how" to be a parent. There is no major in college for learning how to be a parent. In working families, there is little time to practice the art of parenting and most parents fly by the seat of their pants and hope it will all turn out right, and without that quality parenting, children are running amok. How Can Parents Get the

When I enrolled in the Comprehensive
Coaching U. Parent Coach program, I knew it would be a great learning
experience for me. However, even though I'm an experienced Parent
Educator, what I didn't expect was how transformed I would become
using the self-assessment. It was worth the price of admission
just to use this assessment not only to reflect on my own past
parenting, but, also to assist me with parents I'm currently coaching.
There's no doubt this process can allow parents to take an honest
look at what beliefs they hold about themselves, their child,
and their parenting that they weren't even aware of. I only wish
I had the self-assessment and the valuable tools of this coaching
program to help me when I first became a parent many years ago...
how much confusion, frustration, and struggle I could have avoided.
Thank you for developing such a great process for coaches to assist
parents in helping them not only enjoy their parenting journey,
but, more importantly, enjoy their children. |
What an experience!!! I have learned soooo much in such a short period of time. The material and the topics covered in this e-course are phenomenal. Your Parenting e-course has given me lots of new tools and techniques and has helped me tremendously in coaching my "parent" clients. Thank you soooo much for sharing your invaluable knowledge with me. |
I have been working on this material for over five years and based on people asking me to train them on this information; I decided the time was now.
It took some time but I figured the easiest and fastest way to get this information out to you would be in an e-course.
I have put together a 10 week e-course called: “Parent Coaching Course for Certification as a Comprehensive Parent Coach”. This e-course is full of incredible information and exercises that will assist you in coaching parents with children of all ages and in any situation.
During this journey you will train in the following:

You can coach parents to raise children with healthy self-esteems and greater personal responsibility, so parents and their children will find greater joy together.
This e-course will prepare you to help parents become coaches to their children. If you have thought about working with families, this niche is HOT! For only $199 you can receive this e-course over the next 10 weeks. Each lesson is full of information and contains exercises to help you develop your skills as a parent coach!
Dear Terri, You are reminding me of one of my 100's of reasons for quitting teaching school. One was I realized that through the uses of positive behavior modification techniques and intrinsic reward, over time I was able to have an entire school of 750 children in the palm of my hand so to speak. There were times the assistant principle would call me to assist in a situation where things seemed to be out of hand. She even was hit by one child once and I had to "inspire" the child to leave the area since he was refusing to leave. This reason for quitting was I thought it would be fabulous if I could find an environment where something similar could occur with adults. (I found an opportunity to experiment as a social team leader for a course once and found that the same way of being with children got the SAME results with adults.) In the teacher's lounge teachers would be talking about behavior disordered children and they couldn't believe I didn't even know which child they meant since the child was behaving in my class. I do think it's harder when you have the same children all day every day, though. The adult becomes drained and their own self discipline starts to waver. The adult must have self care to keep their joy alive and diminish the effort side of it all. I saw what was possible in many scenarios where a teacher would get transferred in the middle of the year. The same class that teacher had was almost a shocking difference with the next teacher. A perfect class of second graders became an almost impossible group. An impossible group of fifth graders become almost angelic under the new teacher's techniques. It was clear to me that children are NOT a problem. Adults are. And if adults could some how gain some mastery, they might enjoy their own children more and not want to be away "working" so much. I believe your parenting ecourse addresses this so adults can accept children as the rose that's growing. You would not expect a rose to be still when the wind was blowing, would you? Why would anyone expect a two-year old child to be still as an adult would be? Yet they can be when prepped for it, just as a rose can if you plan for the wind. Most adults can hardly stand being still themselves for more than 45 minutes - even though they do it because they want something more than they want to move. : ) My dream house is designed in a way conducive to the feeling of family togetherness even while each member pursues their own interests - instead of the artist having to go to the room down the hall or in the basement, constantly choosing time for art or time for the family conversation or movie. The house also has a basement that includes a basketball court/dance studio with mirrored walls and a full-scale Montessori furnished area where parents with toddlers would come WITH their children and be taught how to teach their children. This is a Suzuki philosophy. Instead of avoiding the tough moments and losing the joyous moments all at the same time. Warmly, |
