Winning potential customer attention isn’t about spending more than your competitors. It is about being more imaginative and using an assortment of tactics to outsmart your competitors instead.

Welcome to the the Guerrilla Mindset! I am a Guerrilla Marketer and I think differently than the majority of business owners I meet. My mindset is to think outside the box, outside my industry and not to spend much money on traditional marketing but instead to use inexpensive unconventional marketing.

I constantly look at how other people inside and outside my industry market and then I use my brain and imagination to creatively market to the same potential customers in a unique way. A memorable way in fact. And to market with little or no cost involved. This is how my mind thinks. I am a Guerrilla on a mission.

I think there are a lot of misunderstandings about Guerrilla marketing because the smaller firms think that cheap or silly tactics won’t work. Let me re-frame. Guerrilla doesn’t mean that you are going to be aggressive and tacky. This is the wrong mindset.

The right mindset is to understand that by doing somethings that are really different while using a smaller budget and not wasting your marketing dollars you decide to do things that are really memorable. Things that really impact your target audience so they pay attention and notice you. This is the mindset that works today.

You are competing with so many marketing messages out there. Stop being like the rest of the pack. Instead get creative so that your tactics can lead to a multiplier effect that doubles the amount of attention a prospect pays to your marketing message.

So what is the Guerrilla mind made of? Thinking differently. Asking different questions and coming up with ideas that will create the most impact and the most awareness for your company.

In Guerrilla Marketing cash is not king. This is great news! It means that businesses of any size can now get noticed without breaking their small wad of cash. You don’t need to have an expense budget like Apple or McDonald’s to play the game! Today there is a more even playing field that allows your business to get a ton of exposure with little or no cash. Good news? YES!

Here’s more good news… we can learn from companies like www.Zappos.com and Dunkin’ Donuts and imitate what they are doing because they are also now using Guerrilla Marketing tactics and saving their cash.

Recently I was at a fair in my community where they were giving out free samples of a new Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. Think about it – free samples don’t cost much and hiring someone to poor coffee into a tiny taste cup isn’t costing them much compared to giant bill boards or sponsoring a Super Bowl Commercial, right?

Catch the point… even large companies are modeling and showing us how to save our cash.

How can you give away a sample of what you have? How can people “try you on” or “taste test you”? Can you give away free reports that potential customers can download? How about a free mp3 or video the can watch? Or even a free trial of demo or consult?

I learned years ago that Baskin Robbins has the taste test mastered. Have you ever gone into a Baskin Robbins and asked for a little pink spoon of some flavor of ice cream you wanted to try? And did you walk out with nothing or with something? Odd are (and I am willing to bet on this one!) you made a purchase. Those tiny little pink spoons and the small amounts of ice cream given away are they way to bring people in without spending much if any cash. People taste, they experience and they buy if they liked the taste. It is that simple.

Save your cash and be creative. Ideas are king today.

Instead of cutting out marketing and thinking it just isn’t in the budget, today’s successful companies are using every penny wisely when it comes to marketing. In fact, successful companies of all sizes know that Guerrilla Marketing means that instead of relying on money power they need to rely on brain power which, by the way, is a lot less expensive.

The best way to use your Guerrilla Marketing dollars wisely is to mostly invest time, energy and imagination to your marketing vs. spending money on marketing. Time, energy and imagination are the brain power that will boost your marketing and allow you to market with great results even on a shoe-string budget.

One of the pitfalls I often see, as a business mentoring expert, is that often companies are not patient and they want results now. They just don’t want to wait for the marketing programs they have put into place to develop and take hold.

The lesson here is: MARKETING RESULTS DO NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT!

I know you were hoping I would say they do – me too! The truth is that all marketing is about people and isn’t about things. This means that it takes awhile to build a relationship and to romance your customer. It takes time to get them to dance with you and you have to be prepared to spend the time to build the trusted relationship that will grow to be deep and meaningful.

How can you build the romance? Keep in front of your prospects with no cost methods. We have great technology at our finger tips that is evolving every day. We have websites and social media and email blasts and customer surveys and even text messaging.

Very simply put this is the day of inviting everyone into your network and giving away as much value as you can to make their experiences with your company good ones. People are more likely to do business with companies that “grow on them” overtime.

I’ve written a lot about a lot of products and services over the years and today I want to share a tip about a service I’ve been using for many years — a company that allows you to share products you have created. I say they are the best kept secret in my business and they are responsible for all my custom products!

I don’t have an affiliate deal with them. I just am sitting at my desk today thinking, “Where would my business be without them?” and I am feeeeeeeeeeling grateful.

What I love about this company, Vervante (http://www.vervante.com/) is how easy they are to work with and how quickly they make my products ready for distribution, send out my products and handle any problems customers may run into.

Prior to using Vervante I was spending my valuable time duplicating CD’s and DVD’s or having to pay virtual assistants to do this task. Then someone had to go to the post office and ship things out. Having Vervante not only gives a professional look and consistent look to all my products it gives me full service support, helps me establish my branding, and takes a load off my mind as every order is automatically fulfilled by them as they come into my shopping cart!

Here’s another reason I recommend Vervante (http://www.vervante.com/ ) … they also print all my products on demand! I don’t have to pre-pay or sit on huge inventory. I teach all my clients and coaching students and business owners that the only way to publish these days is using on-demand publishing and distribution for their books, CDs, DVDs, training and coaching programs, and information products. Vervante allows you to share your products with the world by having high quality products at super competitive prices.

In fact the company takes great pride not only in producing high quality products it also has helped hundreds of my clients see their dream of being published come true.

You can contact them here: customerservice@vervante.com or sales@vervante.com and although there is no affiliate relationship please tell them I referred you so they will know how much I value their services.

If you have any questions about Vervante, just post them in the comments below. Or, if you have suggestions about other services, please share them.

Today let’s talk about some of the do’s and don’ts for social media when it comes to small business.

One of the “do’s” for Facebook is you want to be very interactive. Get on Facebook and make sure that you’re commenting to people. Perhaps you do some real-time chat with some of your Facebook fans. I do recommend that you also create Facebook lists so that you can manage your friends better. These lists are a great tool to help you group and organize people so you can better communicate with them. For example, let’s say you are going to have an event and you live in L.A. You would find the list of all your L.A. friends and invite them. Or you may have people interested in a specific topic, and you can put them in a particular list.

For Twitter, I recommend that you respond to every direct message that comes in. This goes a long with being interactive, you need to be building relationships!

Now for some “don’t’s”. Do not constantly put up a messages (on any social network) that only has to do with selling, selling, selling, selling. Sometimes when I look on my Twitter account, I can find people that only promote their products and services! They don’t offer any type of value to their followers/friends. I don’t believe you should do that. I believe that you should be doing posts that are value, value, value, and then once in a while you can go ahead and you can put in, “Come to this,” or, “Here’s this,” or, “Go to this.” But what you want to do is you want to claim expert status, and the way you become an expert is by valuable posts. So everything you post should have value, and once in a while you can send people somewhere.

Another “do” is make sure that you have the same head shot used on all of these pages so you can become branded. I also definitely recommend that you use the same tag line that people are used to with you. Include your web site as well.

When you are posting on social media, be aware that every time that you post, you want to post things that start a conversation or ask a question or, again, show you as a credible expert. Don’t post things that are nonsense or that will start political conversation; you really want to make sure that your posts are valuable and in line with what people who follow you or friend you would want to know about.

I want to give you some very, very simple, easy and fast marketing tips today. First off, when ti comes to marketing, get rid of anything that is clutter. What do I mean by clutter? If you have things on your calendar that can be removed, remove them. Remove things that are distracting or disturbing in your life as an entrepreneur. Just get rid of them. What I want you to do is prepare yourself for more success. I want you to delegate and I want you to dump. That’s tip number one.

Tip number two is you must have a plan. Every single day you should have three, and only three, marketing actions that you’re going to take. Every day, ask yourself, “What are the three high-profit activities that I can engage in?”

Then my quick tip number three is care, commit and connect. What do I mean by that? Each day you should be caring about your current clients or customers. I treat mine as if they’re extended family. You should be committed to your new customers, and you should be connecting with potential customers.

Three quick tips that will help make you money.

When you want to successfully follow up with prospects there’s truly an art to it. I love to do follow-up. If I’m speaking with a potential client or potential customer, I really listen deeply to what their needs are. And then the best way that you can follow up, regardless of your business, is to do something unexpected. Do something that “wows” them. That lets them know that you’re really thinking of them and that you heard them.

One of the things I often do in my business is based upon the needs that I hear, I take the time to write out a marketing report for them. I give them some of my best ideas based upon what I heard and I give it to them without telling them I’m going give it to them. I just send it. It’s a free gift. It has a little note saying, “I heard what you really needed. I want to provide it. And if you decide to work with me, that’s great. And if you don’t that’s also great.”

I really believe that every one of you should look for a way to “wow” your prospects. Why? Because you care. Because you’re authentic. Because you’re going above and beyond. And because when you think of how to follow up with people in an unexpected different way, you will be remembered. And you have a much better chance of engaging them, having them hire you, and then using your products and services long term. It’s all about building the relationship. Make follow-up an art. Make it your art.

Let’s talk about the seven-figure business secrets. There are seven secrets to building a seven-figure business. The very first secret is that you must create an inter-landscape. You must have the right mindset, the right frame of mind. The right belief system in order to become a client attraction magnet.

The second secret is that you must compel your prospects to hire you. And you do this through a process called reverse marketing. In other words, prospects are calling you. They’re connecting with you. They want to meet with you. They feel compelled to come to you, to call you, versus you chasing them and hunting for them.

The third secret is a way of presenting your unique service offer without selling. Instead of chasing people around and telling them how great your products and services are, you’re going to have a way to present your unique service offering where it’s easy and effortless for them to say yes and to begin to use your products or services.

The fourth secret is to create a “wow” experience for your clients or customers. You want to really make them feel great and excited that they are using your products or services.

The fifth secret is to have constant celebrations of your clients’ or customers’ success. Celebrate the day they decide to use your products or services. Celebrate their birthdays or anniversaries or things that happen in their lives. Celebrate any old day, any old time. Just be sure you’re there to celebrate with your clients.

The sixth secret is to create a referral system that works like magic. Referrals constantly flow in. You get the right, like-minded kinds of clients and customers coming to you and your clients love to refer.

And the seventh secret is that you should nourish and create lifetime relationships. You treat your clients and customers as if they’re you’re extended family. You treat them well. You treat them right and you’re able to keep them for life.

How you can win a flip video camera from Terri....

It’s simple! And it costs you nothing except a little of your time to enter.

All you have to do is post a VIDEO TESTIMONIAL (on Youtube) saying how you have used my products and how it has helped you.

The only rule is you must state the name of the report, information, book, program, audio, video, whatever, in the testimonial and refer to where you found it – and the website name you need to type in the description box is:

http://www.TerriLevineRecommends.com

This is where I now keep all my products and this is where you will find any products you’ve purchased in the past that may have been on a different site back then.

Then send the testimonial video URL to me at t@coachinstitute.com so I can go check it out.

If it is good, you will win a Flip Video Camera.

How easy is that!

It's never been easier than this to win an iPad!

Want to win a free iPad?

Are you interested in having more income?

Review my book Sell Without Selling on your blog, personal or company web site on June 29th or June 30th and provide this link for people to get it at http://tinyurl.com/28ykazd and get one entry into the iPad contest.
Do You YouTube?
If so, you can get two more entries by simply doing a YouTube video review of the book and posting it June 29th or June 30th along with this link for people to get it at: http://tinyurl.com/28ykazd.

Odds of Winning? 1 in 1000!
I am limiting this contest to 1000 unique entries, however, each unique entrant can have up to 5 entries based on the number of activities they complete .

You MUST send the URL where your online, live review can be seen to admin@terrilevine.com upon which your name will be entered into the draw.

Good luck!
