Wealth: Are You Sure You KNOW What It Is?

“Money’s not everything…” What a silly thing to say. Anyone knows money is not everything. Having it ourselves is not even the only way to get things in our lives. Yet, it represents wealth.
How so? What is wealth to you? As with most things, wealth is subject to interpretation. What is YOUR interpretation of it?
Does wealth mean having a lot of money in the bank? If so, HOW MUCH money? Do you have peace of mind when your assets are “through the roof?”
Or
Does wealth mean the quality of time you have with your family? Are the little ones peaceful or constantly fighting with each other? Are your adult children spending quality time with each other or have they become estranged, not even knowing each other any more?
Or
Maybe wealth is choosing to do whatever you desire in a day without regard for the dollar cost of anything. When you have the choice, do you eat at the restaurant with entrees at $30+ or do you choose the small fast food restaurant for convenience? When wealth is represented by dollars in the bank, it’s probable you vary choosing between the fast food restaurants and the higher value restaurants depending on your time frame or whether your children have been “sold” to recently by the media and the environment.
Before you go off creating wealth in whatever form you desire it, it is wise to create a clear vision of how life will look for you once the wealth is achieved.
For example, let’s say wealth to you is money in the bank, and LOTS OF IT!
Now that the money is in the bank, what is your life like? Is your family close to you? Are your friends close? What have you sacrificed in terms of time to create this money?
And on the other hand, let’s say wealth to you is time with family, a peaceful environment where everyone’s needs are met, both emotionally and physically.
What is your bank account like? Are you able to provide the needs for this wonderful and deserving family? Are you able to have the time with them and provide in a way where the needs are met emotionally because you are there, and physically because there is plenty of what’s needed?
To some, either of the above visions are like having half of what true wealth is. Or ALMOST having it. Of course, one can adjust and just focus on the part that DOES match the vision of wealth. But what if you can have BOTH pictures merged? Wouldn’t that be having it all? If you know what you want, you can attract the kinds of opportunities that can provide for both sides of the wealth vision. If you don’t know you want both, you can get to the end of one of the visions and have the way you said, but you may suddenly realize you have neglected one crucially important aspect of life for another equally crucial – ease.
WRITE your vision for what wealth is to you. DO NOT TAKE THIS STEP LIGHTLY. Do it TODAY!
